Postgraduate Studies

Since I finished school, I knew that pedagogy was one of my goals, but an area of my interest and not the typical careers of "pedagogy in". So, now that I study Journalism, I would like to become a master in teaching. I think it is good to study and learn about the area of teaching if I want to teach, although it is not a requirement in all universities.

Since I never wanted to study pedagogy as a university career, my goal is to finish studying Journalism and then to become a master in teaching. This course is in the University of Chile, specifically in the Faculty of Social Sciences and its formal name is "Magister in Education, mention in Curriculum and Educational Community".

This master consider eight semesters and begins in March of each year, but the applications are until the 30th of November. It is on-site and its value is something high, practically the same as a university career, just over three million a year!

Something that worries me about working as a teacher is that in many institutions do not require a specialty in the area or you can do an online magister, but this does not ensure that you can deliver the knowledge to students in a good way.

I think that if I want to teach, in any area, it is important to acquire new knowledge every day and look for good institutions that ensure a good education.
